Matwork Pilates
Pilates is a body conditioning routine which builds your body’s core strength and posture through a series of stretching and conditioning exercises. Also focusing on awareness of the spine and pelvic alignment, proper breathing, and flexibility. The outcome is a balanced body which is strong and supple, whilst improving balance and co-ordination. Excellent for injury rehabilitation and back pain. Pilates allows for different exercises to be modified in range of difficulty from beginning to advanced.

Private tuition will focus on your individual needs and goals and this can be done in the comfort of your own home or studio. Prices depending on peak/off peak times

121 Reformer Pilates
The reformer is a bed-like frame with a flat platform on it, called the carriage which rolls back and forth on wheels within the frame. Reformers parts are adjustable for differing body sizes and for differing levels of skill.

One of the best things about the reformer is its versatility. Exercises can be done lying down, sitting, standing, pulling the straps, pushing the footbar, with additional equipment and all kinds of variations.

All kinds of exercises are done on the reformer to promote length, strength, flexibility and balance. These things in turn help lead to daily life improvements like better posture or relief from pain associated with physical imbalances such as back pain.

The reformer is set-up for eccentric contraction, this is one of the keys to achieving long, strong muscles without bulk that Pilates is known for.

The reformer has different levels of resistance which provides all kinds of stability challenges that develop core strength.

Your core strength is the balance and development of the deep and superficial muscles that stabilise, align and move the trunk of the body, especially the abdominals and muscles of the back.
